“Theme – Healthy Eating”

The theme for the month of September 2018 at MY SCHOOL is “Healthy Eating”. The learners from Kindergarten to Grade 7 had various activities based on theme throughout the month. We started with a presentation on Healthy Eating by the learners of Grade 6. A debate on the topic “Parents promote junk food to their children for an easier life” was conducted for students from Grade 5 to 7. A nutrition corner was set up in school with various posters, slogans and information with regards to healthy eating. It created a lot of awareness among children with them stopping by the nutrition corner to read and understand further more about healthy eating. Over the month the learners have learned a lot about eating healthy and the effect of junk food on their health and wellbeing which they can further imbibe in their day to day life today and over the years The theme culminated with a Meet and Greet session with the Paediatrician and Dietician, programmes by the learners which had various activities like mime, role play, songs etc and it was concluded with a Food Fest of nutritional foods.
