Visit to Kottakkal Arya Vaidyasala

On 16th February’17, the primary children were taken to Kottakkal Arya Vaidyasala to visit their herbal garden and museum. The trip was very informative with children observing different types of medicinal plants, spices, fruits, vegetables and rare trees like Rudraksh, Cocoa, Sandal, Rose wood etc. In the museum, the children learnt the history of Arya Vaidya Sala and about the founder, P.S. Varier. The museum exhibited the traditional vessels used for making Ayurveda medicines and the wooden bath tub used for oil massage.

The visit was a part of their science learning.
